THE HEADS TOGETHER ONLINE SURVEY

OVERVIEW
The Heads Together online survey is a Canada-wide survey that aims to better understand the needs of LGBTQ2S+ people related to mental health and substance use within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is administered by the BC Centre on Substance Use and the University of British Columbia. The survey covers a wide range of topics concerning substance use and mental health among LGBTQ2S+ people, as well as experiences with health care services. Some questions are about experiences of self-isolation to better understand the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on sexual and gender minority health. The survey data will be used to inform substance use and mental health services for LGBTQ2S+ people in Canada.
OBJECTIVE
The purpose of the Heads Together online survey is to examine alcohol use, cannabis use, and mental health among sexual and gender minorities living in Canada within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our aim is to use the new information gathered to improve substance use and mental health care for Canadian sexual and gender minorities.

APERÇU
L’enquête en ligne Tête-à-Tête est une étude conduite à travers tout le Canada qui vise à mieux appréhender les besoins des personnes LGBTQ2S+ en matière de santé mentale et de consommation de substances dans le contexte de la pandémie de COVID-19. Cette enquête est menée par le Centre de Colombie-Britannique sur la consommation des substances (BCCSU) et l'Université de Colombie-Britannique. L'enquête couvre un large éventail de sujets concernant la consommation d'alcool et d'autres substances et la santé mentale chez les personnes LGBTQ2S+, ainsi que les expériences avec les services de soins de santé. Certaines questions porteront également sur le vécu en quarantaine (auto-isolement) afin de mieux comprendre l’impact de la pandémie de COVID-19 sur la santé des minorités sexuelles et de genre. Les données de l'enquête serviront à informer les services de santé mentale et de consommation de substances pour les personnes LGBTQ2S+ au Canada.

L'objectif de l'enquête en ligne Tête-à-Tête est d'examiner la consommation d'alcool, la consommation de cannabis et la santé mentale des minorités sexuelles et de genre vivant au Canada dans le contexte de la pandémie de COVID-19. Notre objectif est d'utiliser les nouvelles informations recueillies pour améliorer les services de consommation de substances et de santé mentale auprès des minorités sexuelles et de genre au Canada.
