How veterans and front-line workers say cannabis is tackling PTSD, depression

During Steve Gloade’s 27-year career with the RCMP, he never thought his retirement would include using cannabis to recover.

Gloade is among the veteran ambassadors at CannaConnect, a company that advertises how cannabis can be used to address conditions like depression, arthritis, chronic pain and post-traumatic stress disorder in veterans and front-line workers.

It provides consultation on where to get the cannabis and other support to people, including from veteran ambassadors.

“Being a police officer, we can tell you the street value of cannabis and we can tell you how much time you might get or fine you might get,” Gloade said, laughing. “But I would never have remotely gathered the health benefits to it, for me, in my journey.”…
